Products like Tile and the anticipated Apple Beacon  are great devices for finding our keys, bags and other personal items.  Smart Watches, Smart Phones and laptops (can) have geotracking software so you easily find them in case of loss or theft.  Now apparently this technological advance can be used to find a kidnapping victim!

After minutes of being kidnapped, the Victim used her Apple Watch to call her daughter.  She informed her that she was kidnapped.  “Officers were used an “emergency cellular” ping to track the woman’s mobile phone.” As 9TO5Mac reports:  “The Apple Watch was able to accurately show the victim’s location, so when the police arrived, they found her in a car in a parking lot, with [suspect] having fled on foot.”  The suspect was picked up later.  He faces charges of Aggravated Kidnapping.  Thankfully, tech came to the rescue before anyone was hurt!
