My Two Cents:  The Apple "Cloth" is a bit ... $MUCH$!

It’s no secret that I like my Apple stuff!  I recognize that I am paying a premium for the hardware I buy or lease from Apple.  But with that premium, I get a solid OS and devices that last longer than their competitors.  So, I don't mind paying a little extra up front.

However, Apple just released its $19.00 Apple Polishing Cloth.  Justine Ezarik at ijustine at gives it a nice (possibly sarcastic) review.  The cloth works!  It has a nice "Apple" logo.  And it comes perfectly boxed like any Apple products - WooHoo!  Great, but I can get a five pack of very nice Ultra-Thick Microfiber Cleaning Cloths for $11.70 at Amazon; plus, they came in a variety of colors.  But with the Apple Polishing Cloth, you are stuck with White - a color that easily shows dirt.

Its "nice" if I will get one free with the new 16" MacBook Pro with an M1 Max chip that I laid several grand on.  I don't know if they sold out like gangbusters or if the shipping delays are causing delivery issues regardless, but anyone hoping to purchase one as a stocking stuffer will have to wait till next year. So, Apple may be losing out on the Holiday market...

As much as people pay the premium price for Apple hardware, you'd think Apple would give its customers a free cloth every month!  Seriously, $19 price tag for an Apple branded strip of cloth seems ... a bit much.  On the flip side, I could use an extra $19 off my last MacBook purchase!
