Video Conferencing Tip (COVID-19/Coronavirus edition): Look Behind You! π―
/No, I am not pranking you. I will not be wearing a mask and pop out to say, "boo."
But take a look behind you.
Observe what those seeing you during video conferences can see behind you!
You definitely do not want others to see client sensitive materials - that could lead to a Bar Complaint! You do not want to show embarrassing photos and items that may turn off prospective clients. Or, worse yet, result in staff or co-workers filing an Equal Employment Opportunity complaint against you for revealing inappropriate things. And you certainly do not want personal information, e.g., photos of family members, information that may disclose your home location or other personal identification information that you do not wish to put in the public domain. Use your common sense and take a look behind you - a Porg from Star Wars may or may not be the right thing to have behind you
Note: I will not offer any thoughts about wearing or not wearing pants πduring your video conferences - just be careful if you stand up β¦ π
