Windows v. Mac: Doing something I had not done in years!
/One of the first decisions I had made when I was going to start this blog was that I wanted it to be universally applicable to attorneys that use either Windows or Macs. To add some legitimacy to the blog, I had to do something I had not done in over 15 years: Buy a Windows Machine.
I had not used a Windows-based machine since my first year of solo-practice when my last one died (and trust me, it was not a happy moment). Microsoft made the transition from Macs to Windows a little bit easier with Window’s 95. That is not to say there were not any issues (and there were plenty), but my studies had drifted into an area where the use of Windows versus Macs reigned supreme. I had the epiphany after my last Windows machine died that “hey, I’m the boss: I can pick my computer operating system.” I did! Macs! And I have not looked back since then. However, with this new blog, I need to go back to Windows.
I bought a Microsoft Surface Pro 6.
I have some first impressions. They will be posted soon - some good, some bad and there is at least one thing I liked from my Surface Pro over my Apple stuff ...
Stay tuned, and I’ll be sure to tell you more!
