The New York Times’ WireCutter recently came out with some “how to tips” on cleaning your earphones – headphones, earbuds, AirPods, etc.

Simply put, always use a damp (not wet) microfiber cloth to clean your electronics!  If you are going to use a cotton swab, be vary careful!  The electronics in there are fragile and susceptible to force and moisture.
