ZDNet reports that these Apps provide adware to your phone. Beside being a nuisance by interrupting your productivity, the adware may be running in the background draining your battery - not good when you need the phone later and you lost your charge earlier than expected.

Take a second and think before installing an application on your phone (or any software on your computer for that matter):

If something “looks” funny, it probably is: Professional (reliable) applications/software are typically polished before publication. Use your common sense, if it doesn't look right it probably isn’t.

Ask yourself:

• Have you used this company’s product before without issue?

• What do your colleagues say about the app/software?

• What do the reviews say about the application?

In the end, it comes down to your common sense.
