Exciting News!
I haven't been blogging much lately because the Podcast for this blog is taking off like gangbusters! I've recorded a couple and need to start editing them for release. I also have other guests lined up and will be recording them soon as well. I am excited to confirm that the Honorable Herbert B. Dixon , Jr. (ret.) will be my first guest!
Judge Dixon served two successive 15-year terms as a Judge for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Upon the announcement of Judge Dixon's retirement, the Legal Times referred to him as the "Technology Judge." We had a very in-depth conversation about lawyers and technology in the courtroom. So much so, that I think I'll be splitting up our interview into three different shows. I plan on the first to be released on November 5, 2019, at 8 AM.
I am also setting up a Twitter handle for the blog. I've been coming across many notices about security and software that, in my mind, do not justify an in-depth blog posting. I want the postings to be centered on teaching software and computer tips in the law office. But, security is always an essential aspect for any attorney, let alone computer users, to be aware. I'll post interesting articles with some short commentary on Twitter. The feed will also be part of the blog site but not the main blog feed. It should be out hopefully this week.
Lastly, I am excited that I have been asked to present at the DC Bar Association in December. I'll be showing ten computer/software tips that every lawyer should know. Even though it will be kept to a beginner's level, you should attend to make sure you know all of these tips. It will save you time in the end and more time allows you to focus on what is important in both your work and personal lives! And I will be sure to peer into more advanced aspects of these tips as a preview for possible presentations in the future. I'll post a link as soon as it's ready.
